Vinted offers explained: how to make an offer, the limits and what happens next

On Vinted you make an offer with the Make an offer button on a listing or in the chat with the seller, for up to 40% below the listed price, and you can send up to 25 offers a day. An offer is not binding: even when the seller accepts, the item stays open to other buyers until you press Buy now. This guide uses the vinted.com Help Center pages we read on October 22, 2026.

How do you make an offer on Vinted?

Press Make an offer on the item's listing page, or press Ask seller and then Make an offer on the conversation screen. Then:

  1. Choose a price up to 40% below the original price.
  2. Press Offer. The seller accepts or rejects it.
  3. If the seller accepts, press Buy now on the conversation screen to finish buying.

An offer only covers the item itself: you cannot ask for a lower price on shipping or fees, and the Vinted fee is added automatically to the final price at checkout (see what the buyer fee covers). What to write around an offer is in message templates for offers, so this guide sticks to the mechanics.

Are Vinted offers binding?

No. Vinted says offers are not binding: even if the seller accepts, the item stays available to other members until you press Buy now, and you are not obliged to buy. It works the same way for sellers. The user terms (dated 08-10-2026) add that the item is not considered sold when a seller accepts a buyer's new price. It is sold once a buyer clicks the buying button and the payment is accepted.

So an accepted offer is a green light, not a reservation. If someone else presses Buy now first, the item is theirs.

What happens when the seller accepts, and how long do you have to pay?

You press Buy now, enter your address and phone number if asked, choose a payment method and a delivery option, and press Pay. The seller then has 5 business days to send the item, and once Vinted says it should have arrived you have 2 days to press I have an issue if something is wrong.

How long you have to press Buy now after an acceptance is not published. Vinted does not say how long an offer or an acceptance stays valid, so do not assume the item is waiting. The only hold with a stated length is a reservation (see below).

If you pressed Buy now and the payment failed, Vinted's page suggests trying again later, switching between app and website, or using another payment method. If money was still charged, allow up to 5 business days for it to return, and up to 15 in rare cases.

Can you withdraw or cancel an offer on Vinted?

The Help Center has no page on withdrawing an offer you sent, so we cannot give you a button. You are never obliged to buy, so if you change your mind, do not press Buy now, and consider telling the seller.

Canceling an order is a different thing. It is possible only before the item ships: open the conversation, press the info icon and choose Cancel order. Vinted warns that this can trigger automatic negative feedback, so agree it with the other member first.

What is a counter-offer on Vinted?

If the seller does not agree to your price, they can decline and propose another using Make an offer in the conversation. Their price is shown only to you. Sellers can also start it: Vinted tells them they can send an offer to a buyer who favorites an item or asks about it. You never have to accept.

Why can't you see the Make an offer button?

Vinted does not list why a button can be missing, so we will not guess. These are the documented conditions:

How do offers on a bundle work?

On a listing or a seller's profile, press Create bundle next to Shop bundles and add items. Press Review bundle, then choose Buy now, Ask seller or Make an offer to negotiate a better bundle price. The seller can accept, decline or propose another price. Up to 100 items fit in one order. More in our Vinted bundles guide.

In the US, the page says sellers may offer a discount by number of items. The only restriction it lists is the 100-item limit.

What does Reserved mean on Vinted, and how do you reserve an item?

Reserved means a seller has put an item on hold for one member. If you cannot buy right now, open the listing, press Ask seller and message them asking to reserve it. Sellers are not obliged to agree, you are notified if they do, and the reservation lasts 5 days.

While it lasts, the item is hidden from other members and only the member it is reserved for can buy it. The seller can unreserve at any time, and the page does not say what happens after the 5 days. A reservation does not agree a price and an accepted offer does not reserve anything.

What do you pay after an accepted offer?

In the US, the price list (printed as 10/08/2026) says the fee is usually 5% + $0.70 and includes any sales taxes.

Vinted adds it to the order total at checkout. A refund returns what you actually paid, offers and discounts included, but only for purchases made with Buy now, so never settle an agreed offer outside Vinted.

Where VTD BOT fits, and what it does not do

VTD BOT never sends offers or messages, never logs in to your Vinted account and never buys for you. The offer and the Buy now button stay yours. It does the research before the chat: you save searches (keywords, brand, size, condition, price ceiling, excluded words) and the radar checks vinted.com at regular intervals, not continuously, then alerts you by push notification, sound or email. Each alert shows an estimated value from comparable listings and the real cost with the Vinted fee and shipping, so you can judge what offer is worth making. It is an estimate.

There is no free plan: Starter is $9 a month, Plus $29 and Pro $39, with no commitment and the same alerts in every plan. See the pricing, the features and how to find underpriced items on Vinted.

Frequently asked questions

How many offers can you make on Vinted?

Up to 25 offers in 24 hours as a buyer, each up to 40% below the original price. Sellers have no limit (Vinted's Help Center, checked October 28, 2026).

How do offers work on Vinted?

Press Make an offer on the listing, pick a price up to 40% below the original and press Offer. If the seller accepts, you still press Buy now.

Are Vinted offers binding?

No, for either side. Even after the seller accepts, the item stays available to other members until the buyer presses Buy now, and the buyer is not obliged to buy.

What is the minimum offer on Vinted?

Up to 40% below the original price. Vinted gives no minimum in money, so on a listing priced at 100 the lowest allowed offer is 60. The seller does not have to accept.

How do I withdraw or cancel an offer on Vinted?

Vinted's Help Center describes no way to withdraw a sent offer and does not say how long it stays open. You are not obliged to buy, so do not press Buy now. Canceling an order is only possible before it ships.

Vinted offer accepted but no payment: how long do I have?

Vinted publishes no time limit. The item stays open to other members until you press Buy now. Asking the seller to reserve it holds it for 5 days if they agree.

If you accept an offer on Vinted, is it sold?

Not yet. Vinted's terms (dated 08-10-2026) say it is sold only once a buyer presses the buying button and the payment is accepted, so someone else can still buy it first.

If I accept an offer on Vinted, do I have to pay the fees?

Not as a seller: Vinted adds its fee to the buyer's total at checkout. The offer only lowers the item price.
