How Vinted calculates the fee in the US
Vinted describes the Vinted fee as a mandatory platform fee paid at checkout. Its US price list (last updated October 8, 2026) says the fee usually combines 5% of the item or bundle price with a fixed $0.70, and that it varies with the item's characteristics, the order value and whether you buy a single item or a bundle. It includes any sales taxes.
What we saw on October 19, 2026: on 377 listings from the vinted.com catalog, the fee matched 5% + $0.70 every time. On a $20 item that is $1.70, or $21.70 before shipping.
The fixed part weighs most on cheap items: the fee is 19% of a $5 item but 5.7% of a $100 item.
Who pays what on Vinted in the US
The buyer pays the item price, the Vinted fee and shipping. The fee appears in the price breakdown of each listing and is added to the order total at checkout.
The seller receives the item price: Vinted's US price list contains no commission on sales. The only seller fee it lists is the optional Bump, which boosts a listing's visibility.
Reselling on Vinted in the US: what the rules say
Vinted Pro, the service for professional sellers, is not available in the US. Vinted's commercial selling rules for vinted.com say standard accounts can't be used to sell items professionally, and that this includes buying or sourcing items and reselling them at a profit.
Because Vinted Pro isn't available, Vinted doesn't allow members in the US to sell as a business, on behalf of a business, or with the goal of making a profit. Vinted may restrict accounts that break these rules, and ban them permanently if they still don't comply after a warning.
What remains allowed: selling your own second-hand items, including new personal items you originally got for your own use, such as a gift or a purchase that didn't fit.
For reference, Vinted Pro is currently available to sellers registered in France, Italy, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, the UK, Ireland, Germany and Austria.
