Vinted Pokemon cards: how to buy safely and set alerts on vinted.com
A "Vinted Pokemon bot" usually means a keyword alert that tells you when a matching listing appears, or an auto-buy tool that logs in to your account. Vinted's terms restrict external software tools such as bots unless Vinted allows the use, so read that part before you pick a tool. This guide covers where cards sit on vinted.com, the searches that work, the checks before you pay and what VTD BOT does.

What a Vinted Pokemon bot actually is
The phrase covers two different kinds of tool:
- A keyword alert. You save a search (a set name, a card number, words to exclude) and the tool tells you when a new listing matches. You open the listing, judge the photos and pay yourself.
- An auto-buy tool. It logs in as you and tries to buy or message on your behalf. It needs your login details, so a leak or a ban lands on your own Vinted account.
Vinted's terms (version dated 08-10-2026, checked October 21, 2026 on vinted.com) say you must not use external software tools, including bots and scraping programs, unless Vinted authorizes, offers or otherwise allows it. See Is a Vinted bot allowed? and what a Vinted sniper can and cannot do.
Where to find Pokemon cards on vinted.com
Vinted's Help Center page for the Hobbies & collectibles category (checked October 21, 2026) lists a Trading cards group: single trading cards, trading card lots, booster packs and boxes, card decks and uncut card sheets. Its collectibles storage group has albums and binders, deck boxes and card sleeves. The category menu shows the same trading card groups on vinted.co.uk, vinted.com and vinted.com.au.
Sellers choose the category, so a card can sit under the wrong heading. Browse the category, but build your alerts on keywords so that a misfiled listing still reaches you.
| What you find | Where to look | What to watch |
|---|---|---|
| Single cards | Single trading cards | Photos of the real card, with set, number and language in the text |
| Lots of cards | Trading card lots | A vague description gives you little to point to later |
| Binders and albums | Albums and binders | A photo of each page that matters to you |
| Sealed packs and boxes | Booster packs and boxes | Resealed products and "sealed" claims without clear photos |
| Graded cards in slabs | No separate group in the lists we read | Search the word graded, and check the label in the photo |
Searches and alerts that work for Pokemon cards
A keyword alert can only match words the seller typed, and many listings carry few of them. Build several narrow searches instead of one broad one.
- Exact set name. The name printed on the card or box beats a nickname.
- Card number. Sellers who know their cards write the collector number printed on the card. Set name plus number finds one card and skips the rest of the set.
- Language. Add English, Japanese or the language you want.
- Graded. Add "graded" and the grading company you trust, for example PSA, BGS or CGC, if you only want slabs.
- Excluded words. Add proxy, custom, replica, reprint, fake and unofficial to every single-card search.
| Goal | Include | Exclude |
|---|---|---|
| One named card | set name, card number, language | proxy, custom, replica, reprint, fake |
| Graded cards only | graded, grading company, set name | ungraded, raw, proxy, fake |
| Sealed boxes or packs | sealed, booster box or pack, set name | empty, opened, proxy, fake |
Examples to adapt. An excluded word can also hide an honest listing, so look at what each search filters out.
Choose the price ceiling for each search yourself, after adding the Vinted fee (usually 5% + $0.70) and shipping. The full routine is in Vinted alerts: how to get notified of new listings.
What to check before you pay for a card or a sealed product
Photos are your only evidence. Vinted's Help Center tells sellers to use their own pictures and show every defect, and its commercial selling page says sellers may not use photos they did not take (checked October 21, 2026). A stock image is a reason to ask questions or walk away.
- Front and back. Ask for the back if it is missing.
- Centering, edges and corners. Are the borders even? White edges, bends and dents show in a close photo.
- Surface. Scratches show best in a photo taken at an angle in daylight.
- Set and language. Check that the set symbol and language on the card match the title. If the listing does not state the language, ask before you pay.
- Sealed products. Ask for every side and the seams of the wrap. A photo cannot prove a product was never opened, so "sealed" is the seller's claim.
- Lots. Vinted compares what arrives with the listing's description and photos, so ask the seller to write down what the lot contains.
- Graded slabs. Check that the label matches the card and the case is intact. If a certificate number is shown, compare it with the grading company's own website. We did not test any grader's lookup tool.

Scams and buyer protection on vinted.com
This is what Vinted's Help Center and terms say (checked October 21, 2026):
- Pay with Buy now and stay on Vinted. The refund policy applies to purchases made with the Buy now button. Outside it, you are not covered and Vinted cannot support you. The scam page also warns against leaving the app, against urgent pressure and against suspicious links. Official emails end @vinted.com.
- Report within 2 calendar days. After Vinted notifies you that the order should have been delivered or seems lost, you have 2 calendar days to press I have an issue. After that, or once you confirm the order, the payment goes to the seller.
- A counterfeit is a "significantly not as described" case. Vinted lists it next to a wrong item, missing parts and flaws not shown in the listing, and confirmed counterfeits need not be returned for a refund.
- How a claim is judged. In the terms, strong evidence of a counterfeit gives the seller 48 hours to show the item is authentic. With too little information, Vinted can cancel the transaction and ask you to return the item at your own cost.
- Report the listing. The report page lists counterfeits among the reasons. Photograph the sleeve and the card as you open the package.
Vinted's commercial selling page for the US says the Pro program is not currently available there, so the refund policy above is the one that applies to the sellers you meet.
The fee, the deadlines and what a refund includes are in Vinted fees and buyer protection explained.
A note on buying cards to resell
Vinted's commercial selling page for the US says the Pro program is not currently available there and that members cannot sell as a business or to make a profit. It also says you cannot sell new items bought specifically to resell (checked October 21, 2026). We do not recommend reselling on Vinted for profit in the US.
What VTD BOT does for Pokemon searches
VTD BOT is an independent alert tool, not affiliated with Vinted. You save a search with keywords, condition, a price ceiling and excluded words, and it alerts you by push notification, sound or email when a new listing matches. Trading cards are not a standard niche, so you follow them with your own keywords.
Each match shows an estimated value built from comparable listings and the real cost with the Vinted fee and shipping. A single card may have few or no comparable listings, so the estimate can be thin or missing: check the card yourself.
VTD BOT never logs in to your Vinted account, never buys and never messages sellers. It checks Vinted at regular intervals and not continuously, so a popular card can be gone when an alert arrives.
There is no free plan. Starter is $9 a month for 1 search with alerts, Plus is $29 for 10 searches and Pro is $39 for unlimited searches, with lower monthly prices when billed yearly. See the pricing and the features.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a Vinted Pokemon bot?
There are alert tools that watch Vinted for keywords such as a set name or card number, and tools that log in and buy for you. Vinted's terms (version dated 08-10-2026, checked October 21, 2026) restrict external software tools, bots included, unless Vinted allows the use. VTD BOT only sends alerts.
Can you buy graded Pokemon cards on Vinted?
Sellers can list them, but the Help Center lists no separate graded group, so search for the word graded and the grading company. The pages we read describe no Vinted authenticity check for trading cards, so verify the slab yourself.
How do I avoid fake Pokemon cards on Vinted?
Ask for photos of the real card, front and back, compare the set and language with the title, and exclude proxy, custom, replica and fake from your searches. Pay with Buy now and press I have an issue within 2 calendar days if the card is not genuine.
