VTD BOT FAQ: the Vinted bot in Australia

Everything you need to know about VTD BOT in Australia: how it works, market value, net figures, the Sniper, seller profiles, security and your subscription.

How does VTD BOT find listings?

The radar keeps checking vinted.com.au for new listings that match your saved searches, collects them and analyses each one. When a listing matches one of your searches, you get an alert.

How is it different from a Vinted saved search?

A saved search tells you that something was listed. VTD BOT also estimates the item's market value, shows the gap between the asking price and that value and works out the real cost with the Vinted fee and postage. Alerts, deals of the day, a seller CRM and offer templates are all in one place.

How is the market value estimated?

For each item, we compare its price with similar listings (same model, same size, same condition), all adjusted for condition. You get an estimated value, the gap in %, the real cost including the Vinted fee and postage, a suggested offer and a profitability index.

What does the net figure mean?

It is the gap between the estimated market value and what the item really costs you: the price plus the Vinted fee and postage. On a A$10 item, the fee seen on listings, 5% + A$1.00, already adds A$1.50 before postage, so VTD BOT counts it before showing any gap. Thinking of reselling? Read Vinted's rules first: in Australia, standard accounts can't be used to buy items to resell at a profit.

Does the Sniper act on its own?

It detects and alerts, nothing more. You set your rules (model, maximum price, minimum score) and the Sniper checks them on every radar pass and flags matching listings with an alert, on the seller profile of your choice. You stay in charge of contacting the seller and buying: the Sniper never buys for you and never connects to your Vinted account. It is included in the Pro plan.

Is a Vinted bot legal?

VTD BOT is an independent tool, not affiliated with Vinted. It helps you monitor listings more efficiently: it never connects to your Vinted account and never buys or messages sellers on your behalf. You remain responsible for following Vinted's rules. Vinted Pro is not available in Australia, and Vinted's rules for vinted.com.au say standard accounts can't be used to buy or source items and resell them at a profit.

Can I manage several seller profiles?

Yes: up to 3 seller profiles on Plus and as many as you need on Pro, with searches, messages and statistics in one place. VTD BOT never connects to your Vinted account: a profile here is simply an identity for your messages and statistics.

Is there a VTD BOT mobile app?

Yes. VTD BOT installs on your phone like an app (iPhone and Android) straight from your browser, without an app store: add the icon to your home screen and turn on notifications to get your alerts even when the app is closed. It is an installable web app (PWA), always up to date.

Do I need technical skills?

No. VTD BOT is a ready-to-use web app: you create your searches in a few clicks and get your alerts on computer and mobile. Nothing complicated to install.

Is my data safe?

Your searches, leads and messages are stored securely. You stay in control and can export or delete your data at any time.

How much does VTD BOT cost?

VTD BOT is a subscription billed in Australian dollars (AUD): Starter at A$15 a month, Plus at A$45 a month or Pro at A$59 a month, or less with yearly billing (A$12, A$37 or A$49 a month). The radar needs an active subscription.

Is there a commitment?

No minimum term: you pay monthly or yearly, in advance, and cancel in one click from your account. Your access stays open until the end of the period you have already paid for.
