Vinted fees in Australia (2026): what the buyer pays, and the rules on reselling

On vinted.com.au the seller pays no commission on a sale: the buyer pays the item price, a mandatory Vinted fee and postage. Vinted's Australian price list puts the fee at usually 5% of the price plus A$1.20, GST included. On every listing we checked on 19 October 2026, the fixed part was A$1.00, not A$1.20.

How Vinted calculates the fee in Australia

Vinted describes the Vinted fee as a mandatory platform fee paid at checkout. Its Australian price list (last updated 8 October 2026) says the fee usually combines 5% of the item or bundle price with a fixed A$1.20, and that it varies with the item's characteristics, the order value and whether you buy a single item or a bundle. GST is included.

What we saw on 19 October 2026: on 381 listings from the vinted.com.au catalogue, every fee matched 5% + A$1.00, and none matched A$1.20. On an A$20 item that is A$2.00, or A$22.00 before postage. The gap with the price list is 20 cents per order, and Vinted always shows the exact fee before you pay.

The fixed part weighs most on cheap items: at 5% + A$1.00, the fee is 25% of an A$5 item but 6% of an A$100 item.

Who pays what on Vinted in Australia

The buyer pays the item price, the Vinted fee and postage. The fee appears in the price breakdown of each listing and is added to the order total at checkout.

The seller receives the item price: Vinted's Australian price list contains no commission on sales. The only seller fee it lists is the optional Bump, which boosts a listing's visibility.

Reselling on Vinted in Australia: what the rules say

Vinted Pro, the service for professional sellers, is not available in Australia. Vinted's commercial selling rules for vinted.com.au say standard accounts can't be used to sell items professionally, and that this includes buying or sourcing items and reselling them at a profit.

Because Vinted Pro isn't available, Vinted doesn't allow members in Australia to sell as a business, on behalf of a business, or with the goal of making a profit. Vinted may restrict accounts that break these rules, and ban them permanently if they still don't comply after a warning.

What remains allowed: selling your own second-hand items, including new personal items you originally got for your own use, such as a gift or a purchase that didn't fit.

For reference, Vinted Pro is currently available to sellers registered in France, Italy, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, the UK, Ireland, Germany and Austria.

What it means if you use VTD BOT

VTD BOT helps you find listings that match your searches on vinted.com.au and judge whether the price is fair, with the real cost including the Vinted fee and postage. It never connects to your Vinted account and never buys for you.

Thinking of reselling? Check Vinted's rules first: as of 19 October 2026, standard accounts in Australia can't be used to resell items at a profit on Vinted.
