What a Vinted bot actually is
A Vinted bot is software that watches vinted.co.uk for you. You describe what you want (a brand, a size, a maximum price), it checks the catalogue for new listings that match, and it tells you when it finds one. It replaces refreshing the app all day. The word covers two very different kinds of tool:
- Alert and analysis tools read the listings that anyone can see on the site, filter them against your criteria and notify you. You stay in charge: you open the listing, decide and buy yourself.
- Tools that act inside your account log in as you, then favourite items, send messages or try to buy automatically. They need your login details, which is why they carry the most risk for your account and your money.
VTD BOT is the first kind. It never logs in to your Vinted account, never messages sellers for you and never buys on your behalf. You can see what it does on the features page.
What Vinted already gives you for free
Before paying for any tool, it is worth knowing what the app does on its own. This is what Vinted's Help Centre described when we checked on 20 October 2026:
- The feed and search. The feed constantly shows newly uploaded items, and the search bar lets you add filters or search by keywords.
- Saved searches. You can save as many searches as you like. A counter in the search bar shows how many items were listed since you last looked, and a saved search disappears after 6 months if you never open it.
- Followed members and favourites. You are notified when members you follow list new items, and when the price of an item you have favourited is reduced.
- A personalised feed. You can pick categories, choose your sizes and follow brands so that recommendations match.
One detail matters. The Help Centre describes the saved-search counter as something you check yourself, and does not mention a push or email alert for it. If you want to be told when a listing appears, that is the gap that alert tools fill. If your Vinted notifications are not arriving, see Vinted notifications not working.
How alerts from a Vinted bot work
- You set the criteria. Brand, model, size, condition, colour, price range, keywords. The tighter they are, the fewer false alarms you get.
- The bot checks the catalogue at intervals for listings that are new since its last pass and that match.
- It adds context. A useful tool compares the asking price with similar listings and works out the real cost once the Vinted fee and postage are added.
- It notifies you by push notification, sound or email, depending on the tool.
There are two honest limits. The first is timing. A bot that checks at intervals is not instant: the VTD BOT radar checks vinted.co.uk at regular intervals rather than continuously, so an alert can arrive some time after a listing goes live, and a popular item can already be gone. The second is accuracy. A market value is an estimate built from comparable listings (see how to check what an item is worth).
What to look for in a Vinted bot
- It never asks for your Vinted password. A tool that holds your login can act as you, and any leak becomes your problem.
- It does not buy or message for you. Keep decisions and payments in your own hands. Vinted's refund policy only covers purchases made with the Buy now button.
- It shows the real cost. The buyer also pays the Vinted fee (usually 5% + £0.70 on most items and 8% + £0.30 on children's items) and postage. A tool that ignores them overstates every bargain.
- It states its limits. How often it checks, which countries it supports, and how cancellation works. VTD BOT is billed monthly or yearly with no commitment and you cancel in one click (see the pricing).

What Vinted's terms say about bots
Vinted's user terms (the version Vinted dates 08-10-2026) say users must not use external software tools, including bots, scraping programs and crawling programs, unless Vinted authorises or allows that use, and that Vinted may take corrective actions that range from a warning to blocking a feature or the account. VTD BOT is independent, not affiliated with Vinted, and never connects to your account, but that does not change what the terms say and you remain responsible for following Vinted's rules. The wording, quoted and explained, is in Is a Vinted bot allowed?
What is different for alerts in the UK
Four local facts change how you set alerts on vinted.co.uk.
- Carriers. Vinted's shipping page lists Evri, InPost, DPD, Royal Mail, Relay, AnyVan and DHL Express as integrated providers in the UK. Which ones you can pick depends on the seller's postage settings and on delivery limits for large parcels or some postcodes, so check the options before you set a price ceiling.
- Listings from abroad. Vinted says the UK is connected with the US and Australia. Under its International transactions policy only items of 2kg or less can be traded, US items or bundles above 120 GBP and Australian ones above 110 GBP (before the fee, shipping and import VAT) are not available to UK buyers, and US transactions are limited to some US states.
- Pro sellers. Vinted Pro is free and available in the UK. Vinted says its refund policy applies when you buy from standard members, not from Pro sellers, who must accept returns during the 14 days after delivery. Check for the Pro tag before you rely on the refund policy.
- The fee in pounds. It is usually 5% + £0.70, and 8% + £0.30 on children's items. On a £20 listing that is £1.70, so £21.70 before postage.

Setting up alerts that are worth reading
- Start with three narrow searches, not thirty broad ones. A brand, a size and a maximum price is a good first search.
- Set your price ceiling with the fee in mind. Decide the most you would pay in total, then remove the Vinted fee and the postage to get the listing price you want to see.
- Filter on condition where the search offers it, and review weekly: delete searches that never lead to a purchase and tighten the ones that flood you.
When you decide to buy, use the Buy now button: Vinted's refund policy applies to purchases made that way, and you have 2 calendar days from the notice that the order was delivered (or seems lost) to press I have an issue. Pay outside Vinted's system and you are not covered. Ready to message the seller? See message templates for offers.
Frequently asked questions
What is a Vinted bot?
A Vinted bot is software that watches Vinted listings against criteria you set (brand, size, price and so on) and notifies you when something matches. Some tools only alert you; others log in to your account and act for you, which is a very different level of risk.
Can you set alerts on Vinted for saved searches?
When we checked on 20 October 2026, Vinted's Help Centre described saved searches as a counter in the search bar showing how many items were listed since you last looked. It did not mention push or email alerts for saved searches. Vinted does notify you when a member you follow lists new items and when the price of a favourited item drops.
Does VTD BOT log in to my Vinted account?
No. VTD BOT never connects to your Vinted account, never messages sellers for you and never buys on your behalf. You make the decisions and complete the purchase yourself.
Are Vinted bot alerts instant?
No tool should promise that. The VTD BOT radar checks vinted.co.uk at regular intervals rather than continuously, so an alert can arrive some time after a listing is published.
Is it allowed to use a bot on Vinted?
Vinted's user terms (the current version, which Vinted dates 08-10-2026) say users must not use external software tools such as bots, scraping programs or crawling programs when using the site, unless Vinted allows it. VTD BOT is independent and not affiliated with Vinted, and you remain responsible for following Vinted's rules.
