How to check sold prices on Vinted (and what to do when you can't)

Vinted does not publish what items sold for, so a true sold-price check is not possible inside the app. What you can do is compare like with like among live listings, allow for how far offers pull prices down, and add the real cost. This guide shows the method for vinted.com.au.

Does Vinted show sold prices?

No. On 20 October 2026 we looked through the Help Centre on vinted.com.au for a sold-items filter, a price history or a list of completed sales, and found none. The page on finding items says the catalogue includes every Vinted listing and describes search, filters and followed members, and nothing more. Which? came to the same conclusion in its January 2026 advice to buyers and sellers: you can't see sold prices on Vinted.

Even the Sold label is not a price record. Vinted's Help Centre explains that the Mark as sold button is meant for items sold outside Vinted's payment system, where buyer and seller agree payment and shipping themselves, and that a seller who sold elsewhere should hide or delete the listing. So a listing that is marked Sold, or that has simply vanished, may have been paid for on Vinted, sold somewhere else, withdrawn or removed by mistake. None of those tells you the price.

That is why any tool that claims to show Vinted sold prices is making an inference, for example from listings that disappear. Treat what it shows as an estimate, not as Vinted data.

What you can compare instead

The honest substitute is the set of comparable listings that are live today. They show what sellers are asking, which is a ceiling rather than a result, so read them with care.

For a cross-check from a marketplace that does publish completed sales, such as eBay, step 2 of our guide to finding underpriced items explains how to use it and where it falls short.

From asking price to likely price

A listing price is where a negotiation starts. Vinted's Help Centre says buyers can offer up to 40% less than the original price, that the seller can accept, reject or counter, and that offers aren't binding. Prices can therefore end up well below what is listed, but neither Vinted nor we publish how often, so use the spread of live prices as a range, not as a verdict.

A five-step price check:

  1. Search for the exact item with the words a seller would use (brand, model, style) and add filters for size and condition.
  2. Open the listings and note price, condition, photos and what is included. Set aside the cheapest (often flawed) and the dearest (often optimistic).
  3. Notice which listings keep appearing at the same price. A price that nobody has accepted is a weak sign of value.
  4. Write down a low, a typical and a high live price for your size and condition. That is your range.
  5. Add the real cost of the item you would buy: the Vinted fee and the postage. Then decide your offer.

The cost side in Australia

The price on a listing is not what you pay. In Australia the buyer's fee is usually 5% + A$1.20 according to the price list, and 5% + A$1.00 on the listings we checked. On a A$20 item that is A$2.00, so A$22.00 before postage. Compare totals, not listing prices, and see Vinted fees in Australia for the full table.

Vinted's Australian price list says the fee includes GST. It publishes a fixed part of A$1.20, while the listings we checked on 19 October 2026 showed A$1.00, so work from the amount Vinted shows before you pay.

What price checker tools can and can't tell you

Browser extensions and scrapers that promise a Vinted price check read the same public listings you can read yourself and summarise them, often as an average or a range of what is for sale. That can save time. Three cautions apply. They do not see sales. A summary built from three listings is thin. And software that scrapes the site or acts on it is the kind of external tool Vinted's terms restrict unless Vinted allows it, so read what a tool does before you install it (see Is a Vinted bot allowed?).

How VTD BOT estimates market value

VTD BOT does not claim to know Vinted's sold prices. For each listing that matches one of your searches, it compares the asking price with similar listings (same model, same size, same condition), adjusted for condition. You see an estimated value, the gap in percent, the real cost including the Vinted fee and postage, a suggested offer and a profitability index. It is an estimate built from comparable listings, so read the comparison before you act on the number.

It never connects to your Vinted account and never buys or messages for you. You decide, and you buy through Vinted yourself. The price and value analysis is part of every plan: see the features and the pricing.

We deliberately publish no value for any specific model here. A figure without a date, a size and a condition would mislead you. Run your own search, or let the tool do the comparison.

When the comparison is thin

Sometimes only two or three similar listings exist. Widen the search to the same brand and a close model, keep your size, and treat any range you build as soft. A thin sample can mislead in both directions: a single hopeful seller makes everything look dear, and a single rushed seller makes everything look cheap. If a listing matters to you, ask the seller about condition and what is included before you rely on a comparison.

If you are pricing your own item instead, the same method works in reverse: compare live listings, expect buyers to use the offer button, and decide the lowest price you would accept before you list.

Mistakes that cost money

Frequently asked questions

Can you see sold items on Vinted?

Not as a price record. When we checked on 20 October 2026, Vinted's Help Centre described no sold-items filter and no price history. The Mark as sold button is meant for items sold outside Vinted's payment system, so a Sold label does not prove what was paid.

Is there a Vinted price checker?

Vinted has no official one that we found. Third-party extensions and tools summarise live listings. VTD BOT estimates a market value from comparable listings and shows it beside the real cost, as an estimate and not as sold-price data.

How do I know what a Vinted item is worth?

Compare live listings of the same item in the same size and condition, allow for offers (Vinted lets buyers offer up to 40% below the listed price) and add the Vinted fee and postage to get the real cost.

Does VTD BOT show sold prices?

No. It compares live listings and shows an estimated market value. It does not have, and does not publish, Vinted's sold prices.
