Is Vinted in Australia, and since when?

Yes, at vinted.com.au. An Australia Post article dated 4 August 2026 says Vinted has officially launched in Australia, with a new three-year partnership in which Australia Post delivers every Vinted order nationwide. FashionUnited reported in June 2026 that the official launch was set for 1 July 2026, and that the site was already live with listings before that date. Sources differ on the exact day, so we give both.

What buyers pay

Sellers pay no commission on a sale. The buyer pays the item price, a mandatory Vinted fee and postage. Vinted's Australian price list (last updated 8 October 2026) says the fee usually combines 5% of the item or bundle price with a fixed 1.20 AUD, that it varies with the item, the order value and whether you buy a single item or a bundle, and that the total, GST included, is shown in the order summary. The list's checkout sentence calls it the Buyer Protection fee.

On the 381 listings we checked on 19 October 2026, the fixed part was A$1.00, not A$1.20: A$2.00 on an A$20 item, or A$22.00 before postage. We keep both numbers, and the full table, on Vinted fees in Australia. The exact amount always appears before you pay. For what the fee covers, see the Buyer Protection fee explained.

How delivery works with Australia Post

Australia Post's Vinted page gives the collection windows: 2 business days to collect from a Parcel Locker, after which the parcel moves to the nearest facility where you have 10 business days, and 10 business days at a Post Office. That page shows no update date, so check it while your parcel is on its way.

Vinted says buying and selling is not available to or from Norfolk Island, Christmas Island, Home Island, the Cocos (Keeling) Islands and Lord Howe Island.

Buying from the UK

Vinted connects Australia and the UK. Its International transactions policy sets these limits:

International shipping usually takes 5 to 10 business days, according to the same Help Centre.

If something goes wrong

Vinted's refund policy applies to purchases made with the Buy now button. You can request a refund if the order was never shipped or is lost, arrived damaged or is significantly not as described. You have 2 calendar days from Vinted's notice that the order should have been delivered, or seems lost, to press I have an issue. If you pay outside Vinted, you are not covered.

Finding the right listings

Vinted's own tools are follows, favourites and saved searches, which show a counter and not an alert (see why notifications seem not to work). VTD BOT adds alerts for listings that match your criteria on vinted.com.au, an estimated market value and the real cost with the Vinted fee and postage. It never logs in to your Vinted account or buys for you, and the radar checks at regular intervals. See the features and the pricing, and how to check what an item is worth.

A short checklist before you pay

  1. Check the total, not the listing price: item, Vinted fee and shipping.
  2. Read the condition, size and what is included, and ask the seller if the photos leave doubt.
  3. Choose the delivery option that suits you: home, post office or parcel locker.
  4. Pay with the Buy now button so the refund policy applies.
  5. Track the parcel in the conversation screen, and press either Everything is OK or I have an issue within 2 calendar days of the delivery notice.

A word on reselling

Vinted Pro is not available in Australia, and Vinted's commercial selling rules say standard accounts can't be used to buy or source items and resell them at a profit. This guide is for buyers. We do not describe, and do not recommend, reselling on Vinted for profit in Australia.
